New Palms Hotel Las Vegas Unveiling May 18

The Palms Las Vegas exterior

Palms Casino Resort (“Palms”) announces the opening of a collection of new restaurants and entertainment venues, the renovation of the resort’s iconic casino, and the unveiling of a property-wide contemporary art program on May 18. Part of the ongoing $620 million reimagination of the property, the opening of these exciting new amenities signals the completion of the previously announced first phase of upgrades, which will yet again transform Palms into Las Vegas’ most elevated destination.

CASINO FLOOR REMODEL AND EXTERIOR UPGRADES

Palms is now home to one of the most inviting and advanced gaming floors in Las Vegas, having undergone a complete remodel of the entire casino including chic lighting, wood ceiling fixtures and bright carpet tones. Over 40 new table games, many of which feature charging outlets, will join more than 1,100 video poker and slot machines with the latest games and popular themes. The luxurious new High Limit Gaming Lounge provides an intimate experience for discerning gamers while surrounded by stunning artwork from the likes of Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by lush new landscaping including, of course, many Palm trees, alongside a 126-foot-tall, all-digital marquee. Additionally, the resort recently unveiled an all-new luxurious VIP check-in lounge where guests are welcomed into an opulent retreat with dark brown woods, vanilla onyx and tufted leather seating while surrounded by a collection of fine art.

PREMIER CULINARY EXPERIENCES

Scotch 80 Prime

On May 18, Palms will introduce Scotch 80 Prime, Las Vegas’ newest premier steakhouse. Led by Executive Chef Barry S. Dakake, Scotch 80 Prime will combine classic Las Vegas charm with an unparalleled dining experience featuring a contemporary and seasonally-inspired menu devoted to thoughtful presentations of carefully sourced USDA Prime Beef, certified Japanese KOBE beef, chicken, chops and seafood.

Alongside such offerings, guests can sip expertly sourced spirits from the restaurant’s world-class scotch collection. The dedicated Whisky Program, led by Scotch Master Cody Fredrickson, will have a high-level focus on rare and vintage marks from top producers in Scotland, including the Macallan Fine & Rare Vintage collection, with Scotch 80 Prime boasting one of the largest retail collections in the country. The restaurant will house an extensive collection of world-class artwork including pieces from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, KAWS, Damien Hirst, and Scott Hove.

Send NOODLES (Opened February 2018)

Playing on the colloquialism “send it” or “just saying yes” to something, Send NOODLES features a robust menu with influences from Mandarin, Cantonese, Szechuan, Japanese, Korean and Thai cuisines as well as creative takes on American and Italian classics using Asian ingredients. Led by Executive Chef Francis Mo, the restaurant serves vibrant dishes such as Ramen Mac & Cheese and Udon Carbonara in a lively setting.

A.Y.C.E. Buffet (Opened December 2017)

A celebration of “All You Can Eat,” A.Y.C.E. Buffet is the reimagined buffet concept with a distinct approach to worldly cuisine presented in an innovative, technique-focused fashion within an open food hall setting.

Lucky Penny Café (Opened July 2017)

The 143-seat Lucky Penny Café serves up a playful menu featuring an array of modern American cuisine with a twist of worldly flavors for breakfast, lunch and dinner – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether guests are looking for a full meal or just a late-night snack, Lucky Penny Café meets that need with its extensive menu, including highlights such as fluffy buttermilk Nutella pancakes, zin-braised meatballs, a selection of Neapolitan style pizzas and hearth oven brick chicken.

ART INSTALLATIONS FROM RENOWNED ARTISTS

Guests will encounter a one-of-a-kind art program interwoven throughout the property, including a number of pieces from the personal art collections of Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, with works by globally renowned artists Damien Hirst, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Dustin Yellin. The resort will also debut newly commissioned creations by leading contemporary artists such as Adam Parker Smith, Jason REVOK, Eric Haze, Felipe Pantone, James Jean, Timothy Curtis and many more that have already begun popping up on property. Palms is infusing this wide range of street, modern and blue-chip art into every detail of the hotel – from the newly debuted dramatic “Wish You Were Here” front desk collaboration by Olivia Steele and Keegan Gibbs, down to clever in-room amenities designed by Dabs Myla.

WORLD-CLASS ENTERTAINMENT VENUES AND MUSIC RESIDENCY

The Pearl, Las Vegas’ premier concert theater, recently debuted its full remodel complete with an impressive “PEARL” mural at the entrance by Argentinian-Spanish artist, Felipe Pantone. Notably, the Pearl, in partnership with LiveNation, will host Blink-182’s first-ever Las Vegas rock residency, “Kings of the Weekend.” The 16-show run, begins May 26 with dates through November. Other leading acts performing this year at the Pearl include Zac Brown Band, Halsey, Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, and Alanis Morissette.

Additionally, Palms’ Brenden Theatres boasts a recently renovated 14-screen movieplex, IMAX experience, tiered stadium seating, luxury reclining leather seats, digital sound and giant wall-to-wall curved screens.

NIGHTLIFE

Two unique concepts from Clique Hospitality’s Andy Masi and nightlife partners Ryan Labbe and Jason “JRoc” Craig, Apex Social Club and Camden Cocktail Lounge, are scheduled to open on May 18.

APEX Social Club, located in the space formerly known as Ghostbar with the unofficial title of the best view in Las Vegas, capitalizes on the unrivaled 180-degree view while reinterpreting the 8,000-square-foot space into an open-air boutique nightclub. Four of Dustin Yellin’s Psychogeographies, his famous 3,000 lb. humanoid sculptures, will live in APEX Social Club.

Camden Cocktail Lounge, located adjacent to the resort’s main entrance, is a dynamic lounge focusing on mind-blowing cocktails presented in a distinctive over-the-top manner and with flair unlike anything seen before.
