Despite the recent events in the Caribbean, many islands are gearing up to welcome back visitors to this beautiful part of the world. Sailrock Resort on South Caicos is reopening its doors on December 16, 2017, and is the perfect place for a warm weather getaway this winter.
The Resort is the first luxury property on the tucked away island of South Caicos, a quick 25-minute flight from the main island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Travelers will trade white snow for white-sand beaches, with plenty of activities for filling sunny, 80-degree days.
Guests can find intimate beach nooks along Caicos Bank, a shallow-water oasis perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and bonefishing. Those looking for deep-water adventure can explore the other side of the island, which borders the Atlantic Ocean’s Columbus Passage, popular with migrating humpback whales, dolphins and tropical fish.
With only 1,300 local residents, South Caicos offers a truly authentic Caribbean experience away from the crowds, where travelers can walk along the ocean-side bluffs, quiet back-water bays and salt flats from the old salt mining industry, teeming with pink flamingos!
This winter, the Resort is continuing to expand and will be unveiling a second dining venue steps away from Caicos Bank, The Cove Restaurant + Beach Bar, followed by the official opening of Na Spa in 2018.
