The Meridian Club, Turks and Caicos, a distinctive 800-acre private island resort on Pine Cay, will re-open its doors November 1 showcasing new renovations for its cherished guests as well as a brand new management team.
Situated along one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, The Meridian Club redefines ‘barefoot luxury’ for each visitor that enters the private oasis. Pine Cay, which is the exclusive island for The Meridian Club, allows guests to truly immerse themselves in the tranquility and natural wonders associated with Caribbean life. The only method of transportation around the island is by electric golf cart, bicycle, or by foot; the only traffic guests see is when the iguanas are crossing the road.
Additionally, Pine Cay offers endless opportunities for discovery, including snorkeling and diving amongst the brightly colored coral reef or taking a short boat ride to neighboring island Little Water Cay, also known as Iguana Island, to get up close and personal with the native reptile.
Upon re-opening, frequent and new visitors alike, will be able to relish in the improvements to The Meridian Club. The very popular Sand Dollar Cottage will be replaced with two brand new cottages, Sand Dollar and Sea Biscuit, making a total of 14 guest residences at The Meridian Club; 2 private cottages, and 12 beachfront suites. Each free-standing cottage features a large bedroom and separate lounging alcove, leading into screened-in porches overlooking the sea. Landscaped outdoor showers and direct beach views allow for romantic privacy while also welcoming nature into each cottage. Additional renovations include remodeling two of the Premium Beachfront Rooms into Deluxe Beachfront Suites. This includes installing new baths with private walled outdoor showers and all new furnishings and décor.
The Meridian Club is home to The Bistro, the fun yet delicious restaurant located on the main floor of the clubhouse. The Bistro also extends to the second floor with its lounge and bar area and offers spectacular views of the pool, beach and breathtaking sunsets. The menu offers exquisite cuisine such as Coconut Steamed Conch and Bacon Wrapped Snapper prepared by newly-appointed Executive Chef, Carlos Andrés Meléndez. Chef Meléndez has extensive experience working in Central America and the Caribbean and aims to create dining options that trigger powerful and delicious memories of a traveler’s experience.
The Meridian Club, which only experienced minimal damage from Hurricanes Irma and Maria, has set up a Charity Page located here to help those who were not as fortunate. In addition to the Charity Page, the homeowners of Pine Cay have also raised more than $75K to directly help the local staff and their communities.
November 1 – December 19, guests staying at The Meridian Club can enjoy up to 50% off room rates.
