Guests who book the room package can select any two of the following activities (two activities per guest) during the stay:
– A 90-minute private yoga session led by a KRI-certified Kundalini yogi
– A wellness cooking class taught by the hotel’s wellness chef
– A 90-minute Mentoring in Mindfulness class led by a KRI-certified Kundalini yogi
– A 60-minute functional movement and strength assessment by a professional fitness coach
– A 60-minute CHI, The Spa treatment of choice
– A private seasonal four-course wellness dinner menu prepared by the hotel’s wellness chef at Waterfall Ristorante Italiano or the private Banyan Deck, subject to availability and weather conditions

The holistic wellness experience is enhanced by Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s Tower Wing nature-inspired renovation, which was unveiled in July 2017. The redesign embraces natural elements like water, wind, wood and stone, which act as a potent de-stressor, as plants can lower anxiety levels and improve well-being. The redesign can be found in all aspects of the wing, from art installations like a moss and stone wall in the lobby, to regionally-sourced sustainable material used in guestroom furniture.
To help guests eat well when away from home, the hotel has an ongoing collaboration with certified nutritionists to offer a comprehensive Eat Well at Shangri-La menu for adults and a healthy children’s menu called Junior Bites. Offered at The Line, pool-side and in-room, the balanced wellness menu contains nutrient-dense, whole foods to promote multiple health benefits.
Aligned with the group-wide sustainable food initiative, the wellness menu philosophy focuses on sourcing sustainable ingredients and incorporates organic eggs, hormone- and antibiotic-free chicken, and grass-fed meat. The specific cooking methods have been chosen to retain nutritional value and preserve the natural flavor of ingredients. The use of salt and sugar is minimized, and the focus is on anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting super foods. The healthy dining options suit a variety of tastes and dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan.
Some of the healthy dishes offered in the wellness menu include: the Warm Kale Salad, a vegetarian superfood combination of kale, mushrooms, roasted sweet potato, quinoa, toasted nuts and seeds with tahini vinaigrette. It is nutrient-dense and loaded with vitamins A, C, K and calcium to support bone health. The Rainbow Trout with Wild Seaweed is made with pan-seared trout, wild seaweed, mesclun greens and ponzu dressing. Seaweed is rich in iodine and supports thyroid health and healthy metabolism. The Dark Chocolate Olive Oil Cake is free of dairy, gluten and grains. Made with heart-beneficial olive oil and reduced sugar, this almond flour-based dessert is served with raspberry compote and seasonal berries.
The wellness food experience extends beyond the restaurant. Guest rooms are stocked with healthy snacks in the mini bar, and Shophouse by Shangri-La offers healthy fruit and vegetable juices and other treats.
Guests can also join complimentary group classes like community Sunrise Yoga (Sunday, 8am), Singapore’s only AquaSpin (six times a week / Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday), Kundalini Yoga* (Thursday, 6pm), and personal tennis coaching* (private classes on request). *Fee applies where indicated.
Families or nature-loving travelers can enjoy exclusively curated outdoor experiences like a bespoke heartland tour (led by the hotel’s Chef Concierge), nature walks and hikes, water sports, organic farming and city cultural tours. Some of the signature massages include: the Singapore Heritage Deep Tissue Massage – using deep tissue techniques and light stretching to release muscle tension; the Signature CHI Aromatherapy, which uses light to medium pressure Swedish massage with exclusive organic aromatherapy oils; and, a first in Singapore, the Healing Himalayan Hot Salt Stone Massage, which incorporates heated natural salt stone crystals. Considered the purest and most beneficial salt on earth, it contains 84 natural minerals and salts. The heated salt stones neutralize the ill effects of daily toxic exposure.
