Fiji’s newest all-inclusive luxury resort, Kokomo Private Island Resort opened April 2017. The 140-acre private island sanctuary is situated on the end of the celestial Kadavu Island group surrounded by the azure waters of the Great Astrolabe Reef, lush rainforests, and aromatic local flora. A member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection, the resort captures “the essence of barefoot luxury” with its superior design, untouched beauty and astounding locally sourced cuisine.

Sheraton Resort and Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji
The Sheraton Resort & Spa on Tokoriki Island reopened on February 14, 2017 following major renovations following Cyclone Winston. Situated on a 35-acre beachfront property in the southwestern corner of Tokoriki Island, the northernmost island within Fiji’s idyllic Mamanuca islands group, Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island is the only five-star, internationally branded hotel on the Mamanucas. With direct access to a private, white sand beach, the new look resort features a luxurious and fresh, island-inspired design philosophy.
The $25 million FJD renovation included all 101 guest rooms and new guest facilities including the sunset bistro, Fijian cultural center, and game room, and miniature golf course.
Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay
The much-anticipated Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay opened its doors in April 2017. Featuring 22 unique over water Bure Villas with direct lagoon access, the property becomes only the second resort in Fiji to feature over water accommodations, and the only one on Fiji’s largest island, Viti Levu. Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay is a short 45-minute drive from Nadi International Airport.
The resort features 136 contemporary Deluxe Rooms and 114 luxurious Bure Villas, including 22 unique over-water Bure Villas with direct lagoon access. All rooms and Bure Villas include a private balcony or terrace and extensive views of the pool, lagoon or ocean. Three large swimming pools, its Quan Spa and three dining experiences round out the resort’s guest offerings.
The Six Senses Fiji
Thailand-based Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announces its first South Pacific luxury resort set for Malolo Island in the Mamanuca Islands range. The resort is slated to open late 2017. Six Senses Fiji will offer 26 spacious pool bure villas all with private plunge pools with bure villas ranging in size from 1,200 to 1,600 square feet. 60 luxury residences (3-, 4- and 5-bedroom configuration) will become part of the resort’s guest inventory when not owner-occupied.
The property will include a superb range of culinary and beverage offerings, including two restaurants plus an outdoor pizzeria and grill, three bar options, a gourmet food market and a walk-in wine cellar and tasting table, all set amongst the tropical landscape. Locally inspired and sustainably sourced, the resort’s cuisine will feature ingredients grown onsite in the resort market gardens and from local farmers, markets and fishermen.
New Year-Round Service from San Francisco to Fiji on Fiji Airways
Fiji Airways, Fiji’s official national air carrier, and the only carrier to offer direct service from the U.S., launches new, year-round, non-stop service from Nadi International Airport from SFO effective June 1, 2017.
Fiji is closer than you think. Flight times on direct service from LAX and SFO to Fiji are approximately 11 hours.
